One of the great things about watercolour is the quickness and spontaneity of the medium. Here is a selection of paintings done in my small moleskine travel book whilst travelling..

The scenes here were painted in Lanzarote, Nice and Gran Canaria. Warm, sunny climates require a lightning fast approach as the paint can dry almost as soon as it touches the paper. Also the small size and handheld approach do not attract as much attention as using an easel and bigger paper, helping me maintain a lower profile and enabling me to sit in a cafe or bar to paint.
